Jae Woo Lee is co-founder and CEO of Vogo Fund Asset Management Co., Ltd. (formally, Vogo Investment Co.), widely recognized as the first independent local PE house in Korea. Prior to co-founding Vogo in 2005, Mr. Lee served as the Country Head of Lehman Brothers where he architected the significant buildup of its Korean operation. Prior to working at Lehman, he ran H&Q Korea as the founding Representative Director, which played a groundbreaking role in Korea Private Equity. Since he started his finance career at Citibank Seoul in 1983, he has spearheaded the introduction of various new financial products in FX, derivatives, corporate finance and proprietary investing area.
Mr. Lee advised the Korean Government as a member of Financial Market Development Committee and chaired the Korea PEF Association for a number of years.
Mr. Lee holds a BA in Business Administration from Sungkyunkwan University and an MBA from George Washington University with a concentration in International Business Finance.
Mr. Park is leading the hedge fund solutions business at Vogo. He brings 40 years of extensive trading experience and network in the industry to the firm. Before joining Vogo, he served as the head of Trading at NH Investment & Securities, a top ranking IB in Korea, and the head of Capital Markets Group at Daegu Bank. He also managed Amex Bank Korea operation as the country head. Earlier in his career, he worked as head of options desk at Citi (Hong Kong) and HSBC (London).
Mr. Park holds an undergraduate degree from Sungkyunkwan University and an MBA from Kent University.
Young Jun Song joined Vogo in March, 2020 as CCO and CRO. Before joining Vogo, he had worked for Korea Investment Corporation(KIC), Mirae Asset Global Investments and Mirae Asset Maps Global Investments as CCO for more than 15 years. He also had served as Chairman of the Compliance Officers’ Counsil for Asset Management Companies from 2010 to 2012 and had eagerly participated in activities to deregulate and enhance regulatory environments for asset management industry as an opinion leader.
He holds a BA in Economics at Seoul National University.
Ms. Han is a Managing Director and the Chief Financial Officer at Vogo Fund Asset Management Co., Ltd.
Ms. Han is also a founding member of Vogo Fund, where she has nearly 20 years of experience in private equity fund operations and risk management. Since the firm’s inception in 2005, she has played a pivotal role in its growth. Prior to rejoining Vogo Fund Asset Management in August 2022 to oversee overall business administration, she worked as the CFO at Hyundai Asset Management Company overseeing fund and business management. Before Hyundai, Ms. Han managed fund accounting for alternative energy, real estate, and funds of funds at BNY Mellon and State Street Bank in the United States. In the early days of her career, Ms. Han served as a certified public accountant and tax advisor at Samil PwC and Lee & Ko Law Firm. She also experienced corporate analysis, acquisition finance, and corporate restructuring at Baring Securities and Hana Bank. With her ample experience in PEF related industries, Ms. Han published a book on fund accounting for Private Equity Funds.
Ms. Han received BA in Economics from Yonsei University and MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, with a major in Finance. Ms. Han holds KICPA and AICPA certifications.
Joonkee leads VOGO FUND Labs, which serves as our laboratory for innovative technology driven asset management opportunities.
After graduating from MIT with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in engineering and an MBA, he worked for Wall Street firms such as Salomon Brothers, Merrill Lynch, and Lehman Brothers, in global financial centers such as New York and Hong Kong, mainly in derivatives and capital markets.
Most recently, he was Head of Korea and Asia for Cumberland DRW, a global leader in cryptocurrency trading. Cumberland DRW is a subsidiary of DRW, a Chicago based technology driven financial products trading and market making firm.
He also has vast experiences in Korean financial markets, having served as Korea country head for UBS Group (at both bank branch and securities subsidiary) and as an independent board director of Kakao Bank. He was active in various economy and policy advisory roles for government offices such as the President Office (“Blue House”), MoEF (Ministry of Economy and Finance), FSS (Financial Supervisory Service) and Bank of Korea (the central bank).
In recognition of these contributions, he has received citation awards and a plaque of appreciation from the Minister of Economy and Finance and the Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service.
